Elizabeth Stulen
Student Physiotherapist
Beth is in her final year as a physiotherapy student at the University of British Columbia. Prior to this, She graduated from Queen’s University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and raced on the varsity cycling team.
Beth believes that physical activity can take many forms, all of which can lead to improvements in physical and mental well-being. She is passionate about collaborating with patients to pursue their rehab goals and optimize their function. Beth’s physiotherapy education has built on her clinical experience as a kinesiologist, where she worked with clients with various orthopedic injuries including ACL reconstructions and whiplash-related disorders.
Beth has taken the initiative to pursue several special interest topics outside of her regular physiotherapy curriculum including the rehabilitation of tendon injuries, running performance and prevention of running-related injuries as well as getting her Level 1 Bike Fitting Credentials.
On previous clinical placements, Beth has helped patients recovering from total knee and total hip replacements return to the activities that matter most to them. She also has experience helping patients with neurological conditions with gait re-training and management of their conditions. Outside of her physiotherapy pursuits, Beth can be found running, biking or cooking a tasty treat.

Evelina Michniak
Student Physiotherapist
Evelina is a second-year physiotherapy student at the University of British Columbia. Her journey began having earned an undergraduate degree in a combined major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Victoria in 2019.
Her fascination with physiotherapy was ignited by a deep-rooted passion for healthcare and a keen interest in understanding the intricate science of human movement. This drive led her to explore the profound impact that physical well-being can have on one’s life. She firmly believes that the foundation of a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle lies in achieving the right balance of alignment, strength, and mobility.
In a prior placement, Evelina closely collaborated with clients on their neurorehabilitation journeys. This hands-on experience allowed her to witness the remarkable impact of physiotherapy in rewiring the intricate circuitry responsible for movement. Committed to empowering her clients to regain control over their health and mobility, Evelina is dedicated to helping them achieve their fullest potential.

Grant Philips-Hing
Student Physiotherapist
Grant is a second-year Physical Therapy student at UBC. Before starting the MPT program, Grant completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Kinesiology at UBC. During this time he also gained experience working as a water polo coach and swim instructor. Grant continues to compete across Canada in water polo and is excited to bring the knowledge he has gained as an athlete and coach to the clinic.
Grant is excited to be at the PTRC in November and is keen to continue strengthening his hands-on skills and therapeutic techniques. Grant is passionate about supporting others in their health and fitness journey and is looking forward to working with clients to help them achieve their goals.

Margaret Pham
Student Physiotherapist
Margaret is a second-year Physical Therapy student at the University of British Columbia. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology at UBC in 2016, while playing field hockey on the Varsity Team and Canadian National Team.
Margaret’s interest in physiotherapy stems from her passion for sports and many years of preventing and rehabbing her own injuries. Collaborating with and learning from other healthcare professionals as a kinesiologist further sparked her interest in helping people improve their physical function. In her previous placements, she experienced the fulfilment of working with cardiopulmonary rehab clients as well as outpatient and long-term care clients with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Margaret enjoys making meaningful connections with clients. She fosters a compassionate and client-centred approach, focusing on active rehab. In her spare time, Margaret can be found cycling around Stanley Park or playing pickleball.
