Manual therapy is the “hands-on” treatment provided in physical therapy appointments. Many different types of treatment fall under the heading of manual therapy, including joint movements/mobilizations/manipulations, soft tissue work, trigger point release, and more. Manual therapy is often combined with exercise therapy to help maintain the benefits of this work.
