Meet our New Students – June 2024

Our new student placements have just begun! Learn more about our student physiotherapists below:

Priya Brar

Physiotherapist

Priya is a second-year physiotherapy student at the University of Brighton in England. She completed her bachelors of kinesiology here in BC and worked as a kinesiologist for a year before moving to the UK to complete her master’s degree in physiotherapy. Her passion for hiking, yoga, and creating awareness about the benefits of exercise led her to pursue a career in physiotherapy. During Priya’s master’s degree, she had the opportunity to complete her dissertation for one of the councils in the UK where she conducted a study which involved looking at healthcare workers’ perspectives of manual handling training.

Sophie Anderson

Physiotherapist

Sophie is currently a third year Master of Physiotherapy student at Robert Gordon University in Scotland and will be completing her elective placement here at the PTRC. Sophie is a keen gymnast and enjoys the gym and running. Sophie has been able to share her passion for health and movement through coaching gymnastics and various clinical placements which have given her a wide base of knowledge in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Sophie is looking forward to her time at the PTRC to experience physiotherapy delivery in a different country and to work with new clients to help them to achieve their goals in rehabilitation.
