Our new student placements have just begun! Learn more about our student physiotherapists below:

Matthew Chiang
Physiotherapist
Matt is a first year Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) student at the University of British Columbia, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. During his undergraduate studies, Matt was actively involved in student life as part of the first-year orientation program and volunteered at the Physical Activity Research Centre at ICORD where he developed a deeper appreciation for how physical activity impacts rehabilitation and quality of life.
Growing up in Burnaby, Matt played various sports including baseball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. He continues to stay active by playing ultimate, tennis, and hitting the gym. His passion for learning about the human body throughout high school and university, personal experiences with sport-related injury and rehab, combined with his love for sport and connecting with others, led him to pursue a career in physiotherapy.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys listening to podcasts, watching professional tennis, binging TV shows, playing mahjong, and spending time with his friends and family. He is excited to share his passion for movement and is committed to helping others improve and return to activities that are meaningful to them.

Pushhti Parekhh
Physiotherapist
Pushhti is a physiotherapy student with a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. Before entering her MPT program, she spent a year working as a kinesiologist in musculoskeletal rehab at various clinics across Vancouver, where she supported clients through tailored exercise programs and injury recovery.
Her passion for physiotherapy began after seeing the profound impact it had on her grandmother’s recovery from debilitating low back pain, restoring not just her function, but her joy. This experience shaped her goal: to help others alleviate pain and reclaim their quality of life. She has also completed a shadow placement in the neurological ward at Vancouver General Hospital, where she observed interdisciplinary care for patients with complex neurological and post-surgical conditions.
Pushhti is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for her clients. Her approach is rooted in empathy, positivity, and evidence-based practice. Outside the clinic, Pushhti enjoys reading, dancing, cooking, and exploring the outdoors. She looks forward to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she works with—one step, stretch, and smile at a time.

Jedd Li
Physiotherapist
Jedd is currently an incoming second-year Master of Physical Therapy student at UBC and recently obtained his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from UBC in 2024. His passion for physiotherapy was sparked by his experiences in competitive sport, which deepened through his work as a fitness instructor for the Brain Wellness Program. He continues to build his passion for exercise prescription and working with clients who have neurological conditions.
Additionally, he is the president of Best Buddies UBC, an organization that fosters friendships and hosts recreational activities for those living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jedd grew up in East Vancouver and competed in various sports, such as track & field, tennis, and badminton. Throughout his journey in these sports, he has experienced his fair share of injuries, which prompted his curiosity in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
In his spare time, you can find Jedd playing tennis, badminton, singing, and playing instruments. As a student physical therapist, Jedd is excited about treating you, his patient, as an expert in your own care by working collaboratively with you. He is passionate about seeing you get back to doing the things you love and would be thrilled to have the opportunity to join you on your health journey. Jedd can speak conversational Mandarin Chinese for patients who are more comfortable communicating in Chinese.
