Our new student placements have just begun! Learn more about our student physiotherapists below:
Aisling Forder
Physiotherapist
Aisling is a student in the UBC Master of Physical Therapy Program. She grew up hiking, biking, running, and skiing on the North Shore of Vancouver, before moving to Montreal to complete her undergraduate degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology at McGill University. She then returned to the mountains of Vancouver and completed a Master of Science in Interdisciplinary Oncology at UBC, where she realized that her passion for staying active and getting outside meant that a career helping others achieve their movement goals as a Physical Therapist would be a much better fit.
In addition to years of experience coaching younger athletes in soccer, field hockey, and Nordic skiing, she has also worked with Para-Nordic athletes and volunteered with the incredible team at Neuromotion Vancouver (a clinic that specializes in physical therapy for clients with neurological conditions). She enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities and is excited to help her clients get back to doing the activities that they love!
Alex Barber Cross
Physiotherapist
Alex is a first-year Physical Therapy student at the University of British Columbia, excited about integrating her past learning into physical therapy. Previously completing an Honours Bachelor of Science in Physiology at UBC, including a thesis project on traumatic brain injury, she is passionate about understanding the research behind the work we do as physical therapists.
With movement being an important pillar in all aspects of Alex’s life since a young age, she began her journey into sharing movement with others during her undergraduate degree. She worked as a certified personal trainer and exercise instructor, both with students through UBC and with older adults through the Brain Wellness Program. Through these positions, Alex cemented her interest in connecting with individuals and working with them to figure out how to improve the movement in their lives.
She is excited for the opportunity to build connections with clients and incorporate movement into their lives in ways that is meaningful for them. Outside of school, Alex enjoys keeping active through hiking, weightlifting, and volleyball. She is also looking forward to more swimming when the weather gets warmer, and getting more into sewing as her skills improve!
Morgan Flynn
Physiotherapist
Morgan is a first-year physical therapy student at the University of British Columbia. She holds an undergraduate degree in exercise science and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Sciences. During both degrees, Morgan worked alongside researchers investigating the impact that exercise has on the heart and lungs. She has experience working with those with chronic lung diseases and is excited to gain more insight regarding neurological and musculoskeletal conditions.
As a student physical therapist, Morgan hopes to establish meaningful connections with clients while helping them achieve their movement and exercise-related goals. Outside of physical therapy, you can find her golfing during the Summer and coaching youth soccer on the weekends. Whether on the fairway or the field, Morgan enjoys the opportunity to connect with others through sport.
